Cain International and FREO Group have commissioned AXIS Architecture to refurbish the Euronova business park in Tres Cantos, Madrid, in line with the studio’s “design & build” model.

The park comprises eight independent buildings with a total built area of 34,000 m² above ground. The grounds are notable for their landscaping and prominent green spaces, which give the complex a distinctly natural feel.

The refurbishment will be comprehensive, extending to internal common areas and existing offices and to shared outdoor spaces. The new design will bring the business park’s image up to date and allow it to meet today’s requirements for accessibility, mobility and energy efficiency.

Common areas within each building will see upgraded ground-floor entrances, lobbies, lifts and toilets. In addition, it is proposed that vacant offices be completely remodelled.

Outside, breakout areas in the existing landscaped spaces will be enhanced. To achieve this, we plan to create a new common area for each building accessible from the ground floor and an extensive area for general use located between buildings 12 and 14. We also propose a new outdoor auditorium, freely accessible to all park users.
