AXIS Arquitectura begins the partial renovation of the common areas at the Los Porches shopping center, located in Soto de la Moraleja

AXIS Arquitectura will go beyond a simple renovation: the goal is to transform the entire user experience by connecting outdoor spaces with the interior and creating new gathering places.

The goal is to introduce new design concepts to the outdoor common areas—which previously lacked a distinct identity—and to the indoor parking garage, which featured outdated finishes, in order to create a revitalized, cohesive space designed to encourage users to linger and enjoy the outdoor areas.

The project includes the renovation of finishes, street furniture, and signage—both outdoors and in the indoor parking garage—improving the perceived quality, lighting, and user wayfinding along all routes.

As the centerpiece, a large terrace will be created, conceived as an open plaza and designated for dining establishments. A vibrant, flexible, and welcoming space, designed to become the center’s main gathering place. In addition, an access promenade will be developed to organize and highlight the entrance, accompanied by custom-designed street furniture that will lend character, functionality, and a unique identity to the complex. The result will be an environment that is not only traversed but also enjoyed: a place where architecture, landscape, and use come together to create a richer, more attractive, and contemporary experience.
