AXIS Arquitectura has carried out the refurbishment of the common areas of the office building located at Calle Orduña 2. This building, which belongs to the Fuencarral Campus of SID Madrid, the first private science and innovation district in Spain, is undergoing a complete renovation, updating its image and interior facilities.
The new design of the common use spaces enhances the pre-existing architectural values of the building, which has a large central atrium, enclosed by a skylight that brings natural light to all floors. The two stair cores that open onto the atrium are integrated into the proposal as elements of connection and visibility between the different levels.
The project includes the almost complete renovation of finishes and cladding materials, an improvement of the overall lighting, as well as a restructuring of the interior façade openings, which gives the building a more modern and representative image. The new design concept is committed to a boutique aesthetic, incorporating high quality materials, careful lighting and details that reinforce the identity of the building, offering a more attractive, functional and comfortable space for users and improving the overall perception of the building and its value in the market.
